The motorcycle driving license has (since 19/1/2013 with the application of the new type of diploma, valid for the whole EU) 4 categories:
- AM category from 16 years old (only with guardian signature).
- Category A1 from 18 years old
- Category A2 from 20 years old
- Category A from 24 years old or after 2 years of A2 licence occupation

Depending your age and the category you have chosen, you will be able to drive:
with AΜ category :
Moped (until 50 cm³)
with A1 category :
- Motorcycles of maximum cubic capacity 125 cm³, maximum power 11 kW and power to weight ratio less 0,1 kW/kg, and
- Motorized 3-cycles, which power doesn’t exceed 15 kW
with A2 category:
Motorcycles of maximum power 35 kW and power to weight ratio less 0,2 kW/kg, which doesn’t come from another modified motorcycle, power more than the double power of the modified motorcycle.
with category A :
- Motorcycles (Any Cubism)
- Motor tricycles with power exceeding 15 kW
To start your theory & practical lessons, you should first get your education & examination bulletin.

If this is your first driving licence, you should:
- be a greek ΑΦΜ holder
- you have a Greek Identity or residence or work permit (valid for at least 185 days)
- 4 passport type photos (4cm x 6cm)
- Pathologist & Ophthalmologist
- Publish & pay the following fees (from e-paravolo):
- 50 € (Initial allocation of category 21)
- 30 € (Driver’s license form code 28)
- 18 € (Initial Category Class 61)
- 15 € (Theoretical Examination code 2037)
- 15€ (Qualification and Behavior Test Code 2038)
- Fill the Diploma Print Application
- Fill the Initial Grant Application (M-TAO01)
Total cost of the procedure : 128€ + 20€ for the doctors
For licence extension from motorcycle you should:
- be an ΑΦΜ holder
- 2 passport type photos (4cm x 6cm)
- you have a Greek Identity or residence or work permit (valid for at least 185 days)
- Own a motorcycle driving licence
- Publish & pay the following fees (from e-paravolo):
- 30€ (Driver’s license form code 28)
- 27,02€ (Extension to a different category code 62)
- 15€ (Qualification and Behavior Test Code 2038)
- Fill the Diploma Print Application
- Fill the Request Category extension form(Μ-ΤΑΟ02)
Total cost for the procedure : 72,02€
For licence extension from car you should:
- be an ΑΦΜ holder
- 2 passport type photos (4cm x 6cm)

- Own a car driving licence

By the law you should first attend to some theory & practical lessons before your driving exams.
If this is your first licence :
Theory Education
You should have 31 hours of theory classes* on our Theory centre of education for driving licence candidates, to get the necessary knowledge which will ensure your success on your theory examination.(Car’s & motorcycle’s theory).
Practical Education
You should have 14 hours of practical classes with an education motorbike (either automatic for ΑΜ or Α1, or manual). You will gain the convenience of handling the motorcycle, the knowledge and implementation of highway code, the economic driving and anything else it’s necessary so you can easily pass the practical driving exams.
For licence extension from motorcycle:
Theoretical Education
You do not have either theoretical training, or theoretical examinations.
Practical Training
You have 6 hours of practical lessons in a training motorcycle (either with automatic A1 or with manual gearbox). During these training hours, you will get the convenience of motorcycle handling and the knowledge you need, so you can easily pass the practical driving exams.
For licence extension from car:
Theory Education
You should have 11 hours of theory classes* on our Theory centre of education for driving licence candidates, to get the necessary knowledge which will ensure your success on your theory examination.(Motorcycle’s theory).
Practical Education
You should have 12 hours of practical classes with an education motorbike (either automatic for ΑΜ or Α1, or manual).
